Zeta Amicae
Since 1940, chapters of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, realized the importance and the valuable contributions of women who chose a different educational path than college. Though many women affiliated with Zeta chapters served in organized auxiliaries, their place in the sisterhood was made official when National President Lullelia Harrison
included in her report to the 1948 Boule’ a recommendation that chapters be allowed to organize auxiliaries known as Zeta “Amicae” (Friends of Zeta).
